Plagiarism Policy
All submitted papers will undergo a plagiarism check using the "Turnitin" tool before proceeding to the review process. If the plagiarism detected exceeds 10%, the paper will be given a second opportunity for revision before facing immediate rejection.
The FCIC Insights Editorial Board will utilize plagiarism detection tools to ensure the integrity of submissions.
When the Plagiarism Checker program identifies potential plagiarism, the Editorial Board will conduct a thorough review of the manuscript and take appropriate actions based on the level of plagiarism found, following these guidelines:
Minor Plagiarism - This involves a small sentence or brief paragraph from another article being plagiarized, without substantial borrowing of facts or ideas from other studies or publications.
Response: Authors will receive a warning and be asked to revise the article while properly crediting the original sources.
Intermediate Plagiarism - In this case, significant facts, paragraphs, or phrases from another source are plagiarized without adequate referencing.
Response: The submitted article will be automatically rejected.
Severe Plagiarism - This occurs when a substantial portion of a paper, including original findings (data, formulations, equations, laws, assertions, etc.), concepts, and methodologies from other works, is plagiarized.
Response: The work will be automatically rejected, and the authors will be prohibited from submitting any further publications to the journal.
Retraction: The manuscript will be automatically rejected.
Articles published in FCIC Insights may be retracted if:
- There is substantial evidence that the results are unreliable due to misconduct (e.g., data manipulation) or honest errors (e.g., miscalculations or experimental mistakes).
- The results have been previously published elsewhere without adequate cross-referencing, authorization, or justification (cases of redundant publishing).
- Plagiarism is detected.
- The research is deemed unethical.
The retraction process follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.
If your work is approved and deemed suitable for publication, you will be provided with an Author Declaration Form, which can be downloaded from the "Submit my Article" section.
